Ayub Khan is Anantapur’s new DEO
Senior faculty Ayub Khan takes charge as DEO of Anantapur, resolving an administrative impasse following former DEO Prasad Babu's removal.
ANANTAPUR: Senior faculty and In-charge Principal at Kurnool DIET College, Ayub Khan, has been appointed as the District Educational Officer (DEO) of Anantapur.
The post remained vacant after former DEO Prasad Babu was removed, with Deputy DEO Srinivasa Rao holding additional charge.
The temporary setup drew heavy criticism from the teaching community over severe allegations of official vehicle misuse, administrative mismanagement, and corruption.
Resolving the administrative impasse, the State Education Department issued orders appointing Ayub Khan.
The newly posted DEO has four months of service remaining before his retirement.
