Vijayawad: Andhra Pradesh Elite Anti-Narcotics Group for Law Enforcement (EAGLE) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ake Ravi Krishna has called upon students to set high goals in life and remain focused on achieving them, making their chosen ambition their driving force.
Addressing students at Vikas College of Engineering and Technology at Nunna during an awareness programme on anti-drug measures and building a drug-free society, he urged youngsters to stay away from narcotic substances and avoid falling into wrong paths. The IGP administered an anti-drug pledge to the students and observed a two-minute silence in memory of Nunna Circle Inspector Mohammed Ali, who had recently died while performing his duties. He also unveiled anti-drug toll-free number posters and later had lunch with the students.
College chairman Naredla Narsi Reddy presided over the programme. Executive Director Naredla Keerthi, DCP G Ramakrishna, ACP Satyanandam, Nunna Rural Inspector Umar, Eagle Inspectors Ravindra and Krishna Mohan, Principal ChVS Parameswara Rao, Dean Sevugarajan and Sub-Inspectors Nageswara Rao and Subbarao were among those present.
