The Telangana government has announced a hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for state employees across various pay scales. Revised DA will be paid from November 1, 2026, with arrears to be credited in installments to GPF accounts.

Telangana govt issues orders on DA hike
The Telangana government has issued an order regarding hikes in the dearness allowance (DA) to be paid to the employees of the state, applicable from January and July 2024.
In case of the 2020 pay scale, DA has been hiked from 33.67% to 37.31% from January 2024 and further to 40.04% from July 2024. In case of 2015 pay scale, DA has been increased from 73.344% to 78.06% and thereafter further to 81.728% from July 2024.
DA has also been revised for UGC/AICTE pay scale employees. Employees with 2016 pay scale will get DA of 50%, which is up from 46%, further to 53% from July 2024. For the 2006 pay scale, DA has been increased from 230% to 239%, further to 246% from July 2024.
Revised DA will be paid along with the salary of October 2026 on 1 November. Arrear of DA for January 2024 to September 2026 would be in 33 installments and arrear of DA for July 2024 to September 2026 would be paid in 27 installments. Arrears will be paid into the General Provident Fund accounts of the employees.
