Two killed after a house catches fire in Eluru

A tragic fire in Velerupadu, Eluru district, resulted in the deaths of two women who were burnt alive while sleeping in their home.

Valagani Savitri, aged 60, and Poolamma, aged 65, lost their lives in the blaze.

It is reported that Poolamma had travelled from Suryapet in Telangana to visit her younger sister in Eluru.

The fire completely gutted their house due to the intensity of the flames, which also spread to a neighbouring house, reducing it to ashes.
