Gold prices climb ₹364 to ₹1,43,740 per 10 grams on the Multi Commodity Exchange as speculators build fresh positions driven by robust spot market demand.

Gold prices rose Rs 364 to Rs 1,43,740 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, yellow metal contracts for October delivery traded higher by Rs 364, or 0.25 per cent, at Rs 1,43,740 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 1,691 lots.

Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in precious metal prices, analysts said.
