B Likitha Sree, a Computer Science and Engineering student specialising in Internet of Things (IoT) and Cyber Security including Blockchain Technology (CSBT), has received a gold medal from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) for academic performance.
Likitha was part of the 2022–2026 batch at East Point College of Engineering & Technology (EPCET), an autonomous institution affiliated with VTU.
Her academic performance earned her recognition among students graduating under the university.
The VTU Gold Medal recognises academic achievement based on the university’s prescribed criteria. Likitha’s specialisation covered areas including Internet of Things, cybersecurity and blockchain technology, fields that are increasingly included in computer science and engineering programmes.
Speaking about the achievement, Likitha said the recognition was a result of the support she received from her parents and teachers. She also credited her learning experience at EPCET, including practical exposure, for helping her develop confidence in her academic work.
“Securing the VTU Gold Medal is a dream come true. This achievement is a tribute to my parents and teachers,” Likitha said.
S.V. Pramod Gowda, CEO and Trustee of East Point Group of Institutions, congratulated Likitha and said the award reflected her consistent academic effort and discipline.
