KIMS Saveera successfully treats old woman who suffered severe heart attack
Anantapur: Doctors at KIMS Saveera Hospital saved a 60-year-old woman suffering from a severe heart attack caused by a massive blood clot and coronary artery ectasia. When conventional angioplasty failed, Consultant Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Spandana Komma and her team utilized an advanced mechanical thrombectomy approach featuring the CATRx catheter and Penumbra aspiration system.
Successfully clearing the obstruction and deploying two coronary stents, the team restored normal blood flow.
The patient recovered smoothly and was discharged in stable condition, highlighting the effectiveness of advanced thrombectomy in complex cardiac emergencies.
