Guntur: Guntur East MLA Md Naseer Ahmed said that the government would stand as a protective shield for the health of the people. Hedistributed Chief Minister’s Relief Fund cheques worth Rs 1.46 crore to 76 beneficiaries at his office here on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the government was liberally extending financial assistance from CMRF to the poor to meet their medical expenses and CMRF had become a source of support for saving the lives of underprivileged people.
He stated that financial assistance was being provided expeditiously so that no one would be deprived of proper medical treatment due to financial difficulties.
He said the assistance would be particularly beneficial to families who had incurred heavy debts after undergoing treatment at private or corporate hospitals for cancer, heart-related ailments, and kidney problems.
