A tragic road accident in Hyderabad's Balanagar area claimed the life of a four-year-old girl, Veda Sree, after she fell from a motorcycle and was struck by a lorry in Padmanagar Phase 1. Police are investigating the incident.
Hyderabad: In a tragic road accident, a four-year-old girl died after coming under the rear wheels of a lorry within Balanagar police station limits on August 2.
According to police, the deceased victim Vedha Sri was travelling on a motorcycle with her uncle when she fell onto the road and was crushed by an oncoming heavy vehicle at Padmanagar Phase 1.
Police further stated that an autorickshaw approaching from behind collided with the two-wheeler, causing Vedha Sri and her uncle to lose balance and fall onto the carriageway.
At the same moment, a lorry approaching from the opposite direction ran over Vedha Sri after she slid directly under its rear wheels. The young girl died on the spot.
Upon receiving information regarding the collision, police reached the scene and shifted the body to the local mortuary. Balanagar police registered a case, took the lorry driver into custody, and initiated a detailed investigation into the crash.
