Hyderabad police have arrested two delivery boys, Dhabee Vinod and Makkala Mohan, for the robbery and murder of Jai Prakash Deshmukh in Secunderabad. Learn how technical evidence and CCTV footage led to the swift apprehension of the suspects near the Lallaguda railway area.

Hyderabad: Lallaguda Police arrested two delivery boys for allegedly killing a man and robbing his mobile phone and cash. The accused were identified as Dhabee Vinod (30), a grocery delivery boy, who has a criminal record of stalking women, and Makkala Mohan (19), a Swiggy delivery boy.

According to DCP Rakshitha Krishna Murthy, the deceased, Jai Prakash Deshmukh (38), a mason from Madhya Pradesh, was found dead near the railway bypass road at Tukaramgate, Secunderabad on June 3. He had severe head injuries, and police also found blood stained stones near his body.

The police registered a case and formed special teams in coordination with the Task force teams that put efforts to trace the deceased and to apprehend the culprits. The deceased was later identified by his family members via social media and print media notices circulated by officials. The police force examined the CCTV footage, technical evidence, and local information helped the police to identify the accused, said DCP.

DCP further said that during the interrogation, the accused revealed that they picked up the victim near Monda Market by inducing him to drop at Secunderabad Railway Station. They took him to an isolated area with the intention of robbing him. When he resisted, the accused hit him with stones and killed him on the spot and then stole his mobile phone and Rs 110 cash from the deceased.
