MLA distributes transformers to farmers
Mahabubnagar: Jadcherla MLA Janampally Anirudh Reddy said steps were being taken to strengthen the power infrastructure in the constituency and ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to farmers. He distributed around 100 power transformers to farmers from Jadcherla and Midjil mandals at the electricity office in Jadcherla municipality.
The MLA also laid foundation stones for the construction of the Jadcherla Sub-Division Office building, Midjil Section Office building and Jadcherla Section Office building. He said a 132 KV substation had been sanctioned for Nawabpet mandal and proposals had been submitted for another 132 KV substation in Jadcherla municipality, keeping future power requirements in mind.
Reddy said 35 substations had been sanctioned to the Jadcherla constituency since Independence, while around 23 new 33/11 KV substations had been sanctioned after he assumed office as MLA. He said a long-term plan was being implemented to strengthen power infrastructure and prevent electricity shortages for farmers over the next 35 years.
The MLA said the Congress government was giving priority to farmers’ welfare and that Rs 34.70 crore had been spent in the Jadcherla constituency under the 200-unit free electricity scheme. He said arrangements were being made to ensure the timely availability of transformers and assured that efforts would continue to provide reliable power supply to the agriculture sector.
