Ongole: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will give pattadar passbooks to about 8,500 farmers at Narsingolu under the Mee Bhoomi Mee Hakku programme on October 9.
District in-charge and Endowments minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, along with Social Welfare minister Dr Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy and Collector P Raja Babu, inspected probable locations in Kondapi constituency on Monday and finalised Narsingolu for the programme.
They later offered special prayers at the Sri Ramalingeswara Swamy and Parvati Devi temple and the Saniswara temple in Narsingolu. Minister Ramanarayana Reddy said that the chief minister holds farmer welfare programmes on the ninth of every month.
He said that the collector will send a report on the Narsingolu site to the Chief Minister’s Office, and the full schedule may be fixed in two or three days. Minister Swamy said clearance has been given for village sites on about 4,000 acres of prohibited land in the district, including about 400 acres in Narsingolu.
