Ongole: District collector Palleti Raja Babu urged well-settled people to help the poor in every possible way through the P4 programme. He distributed NTR Bharosa pensions with local MLA BN Vijay Kumar at Chakali Palem in Maddipadu on Thursday.
At the ‘Pedala Sevalo 2.0’ programme conducted in the village, the collector received 82 petitions. He said that the programme is held on the first of every month, or a day earlier if it is a holiday.
About 2.16 lakh people in the district get Rs 94 crore as monthly pensions. He further said works of Rs 100 crore to Rs 140 crore were sanctioned under VB G RAM G.
MLA Vijay Kumar said the government aims at development and welfare. A sum of Rs 20 crore was sanctioned for road widening, and works worth Rs 110 crore were done in the constituency. He announced that he will give three acres for a burial ground and house sites for the poor.
