Collector P Raja Babu angry over delay in solving petitions

Collector P Raja Babu receiving petitions from public at the PGRS programme in Ongole on Monday
Ongole Collector P Raja Babu reviews 332 petitions at the PGRS programme, warning officials against pending cases and announcing public feedback collection after August 15.
Ongole: District Collector P Raja Babu warned officials on Monday that delays in resolving public petitions will not be tolerated, particularly in the Revenue Department where cases are being kept pending under the ‘In Progress’ status without actual action. At the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) programme held at the Collectorate on Monday, Raja Babu personally received 332 petitions from people who came from across the district.
He issued clear instructions to officials on each category of grievance. He ordered the officials that the number of cases showing ‘In Progress’ status must be reduced immediately. Every petition must be read carefully and resolved strictly within the rules and within the set deadline. Field-level officers must ensure that petitioners get a satisfactory and lasting solution, not just an entry in the online records, he directed.
The collector further informed that after August 15, the district administration will collect direct feedback from the public on government welfare schemes and will discuss the same with officials.
District Revenue Officer Venkataramana, Zilla Parishad CEO Chiranjeevi, Disaster Management Officer Madhuri, BC Corporation ED Venkateswara Rao, Special Deputy Collector Padmalatha and other officials participated in the programme.
