PM Narendra Modi commends MP Lavu Sri Krishnadevarayalu on Palnadu district’s ₹3,216 crore Credit Outreach initiative driving rural financial growth.

Guntur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the initiatives undertaken in Palnadu district to promote rural economic growth and encourage self-employment. He assured the MP Lavu Sri Krishnadevarayalu of the Central government’s continued support in strengthening rural empowerment and advancing the vision of Viksit Bharat.

He met the Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in New Delhi on Monday and presented a comprehensive report titled ‘Palnadu- A Chronicle of Financial Transformation’, highlighting the progress achieved through the Credit Outreach Programme conducted in Narasaraopet on July 17 in which the Union Finance Minister Niramala Sitharaman and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu participated. They distributed loans to the beneficiaries.

He briefed the Prime Minister on the achievements and economic impact of the Credit Outreach Programme conducted in Palandu district. He informed him that loans worth Rs 3,216 crore had been sanctioned to 1,03,246 beneficiaries.

He explained that 83,365 farmers were sanctioned agricultural loans worth Rs 2,286 crore. In addition, financial assistance was extended to thousands of women, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, youth, artisans, and Self-Help Groups. He informed the Prime Minister that Palnadu district would continue to be developed through greater investments in agriculture, MSMEs, infrastructure, and employment generation.
