Sunkarametta PHC in ASR district launches the Tata Sanjeevani Digital Nerve Centre pilot project, offering free digital health records and teleconsultations.
Paderu: In a major step towards improving healthcare access in remote tribal areas, the State government has selected the Sunkarametta Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Alluri Sitarama Raju district as a pilot project for the Tata Sanjeevani Digital Nerve Centre. District collector T Nishanthi inspected the PHC on Monday.
As part of the pilot project, comprehensive digital health records of every resident in villages under the four Gram Panchayats within the PHC limits will be created through Sanjeevani Registration, enabling faster and more efficient delivery of medical services.
She said the Tata Sanjeevani Digital Nerve Centre would function as a one-stop digital healthcare platform, offering doctor appointments, online video consultations with specialists, referral services, diagnostic test bookings, information on government health schemes and other healthcare guidance.
The collector appealed to the public to make use of the toll-free helpline 155337, available from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday to Saturday, for accessing the services. She also encouraged people to download the Sanjeevani Citizen App to book appointments, access digital health records, receive voice-based medical assistance and avail various digital healthcare facilities.
Stressing the importance of digitisation, Nishanthi said digital health records would ensure timely treatment during emergencies and significantly strengthen healthcare delivery in tribal and rural areas.
She noted that all services under the Tata Sanjeevani Digital Nerve Centre would be provided free of cost. Later, the Collector, along with medical staff and lactating mothers, launched the World Breastfeeding Week poster and called for active participation in the awareness campaign being observed across the district up to the 7th of this month.
