Bhogapuram a jewel in North Andhra: Reverse migration soon CM Chandrababu Naidu

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu
- North Andhra to be one of India’s fastest-growing regions
- “In my five decades of public life, I have not seen a leader like Narendra Modi,” says Naidu
Vizianagaram: With the inauguration of the much-awaited Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport plus a slew of on-going developmental works in north Andhra, the region is set to witness signs of reverse migration soon, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has emphasised.
Delivering a highly-charged address during the inauguration of the greenfield Airport at Bhogapuram, a village which was unheard-of before, on Saturday, the Chief Minister asserted that the region will unfold a new growth chapter with umpteen opportunities for the youth and enhanced global connectivity.
Expressing his confidence that the new airport is certain to transform north Andhra into one of India’s fastest-growing regions, the Chief Minister stated that the launch of the Bhogapuram airport is more than mere infrastructure development and termed it as “the realisation of a collective dream nurtured for years that dates back to the previous tenure of the TDP in 2014”.
Thanking farmers who had parted with their hard-earned lands for the development of the airport and contributing to the future growth of the state, Naidu described them as “the true architects of north Andhra Pradesh”.
He announced that 80 priority irrigation projects worth Rs.2,784 crore will be completed over the next three years.
The Chief Minister stated that the long-pending Neradi barrage has received approvals and funding, while Godavari water will reach Anakapalli on August 14. The ambitious Vamsadhara-Godavari River interlinking project will also be taken up, he assured, adding that tourism, pharmaceuticals, rare earth minerals, highways, and spiritual tourism will make north Andhra a major economic hub.
Expressing his gratitude to Prime Minister Modi, Chandrababu Naidu credited the Union government for supporting key projects, including the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Visakhapatnam Railway Zone, Amaravati and the Polavaram irrigation project, reiterating that the Polavaram project will be completed by 2027 and dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister. “Promises made two years back to rebuild Andhra Pradesh from a scratch are being realised under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with the support of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, are now being fulfilled” Naidu emphasised, adding that the previous government distorted the state during its regime.
Heaping praise on the Prime Minister's leadership, the Chief Minister described him as the right leader at the right time for India. “In my five decades of public life, I have not seen a leader like Narendra Modi,” he asserted.
When the Chief Minister said, 'Thank you Modiji"', the entire meeting hall echoed with ‘Thank you Modiji’ slogans as thousands of people joined Naidu in expressing gratitude to the PM.
The Chief Minister mentioned that Modi's ‘nation first policy’ attracted people, who feel safe under his leadership, and made the country go global. “The development and rapid economic growth brought by Modi indicates a fitting reply that 'action speaks louder than words' to all those criticising him,” Naidu stressed.
