CPI to take anti-BJP campaign to villages across Hanumakonda

Hanumakonda: The Communist Party of India (CPI) will launch a six-day district-wide campaign yatra from August 6 to 11 to highlight what it describes as the anti-people policies of the BJP-led Central government. Announcing the programme on Sunday, CPI district secretary Karre Bhikshapathi urged party workers and the public to ensure the campaign’s success.

Speaking at a meeting of key party leaders held at the CPI district office in Balasamudram, Bhikshapathi alleged that the Centre had failed to address pressing public issues while burdening citizens with soaring prices of essential commodities and fuel. He accused the BJP government of misleading people and ignoring the hardships faced by ordinary families. The yatra will be flagged off at Kazipet on August 6 by CPI state assistant secretary Thakkallapalli Srinivasa Rao and will cover several villages across the district. It will conclude on August 11 with a rally from the Thousand Pillar Temple to the Public Garden in Hanumakonda. Senior CPI leader and former MLA Chada Venkat Reddy will participate on August 7 and 8.
