BJP-led NDA Candidate Neeraj Sinha To Win By Historic Margin, Says JD(U)

Prashant Kishor, a former poll strategist who is now a politician, has an early lead in the Bihar seat of Bankipur.

Janata Dal (United) National Spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan expressed his confidence that the BJP led NDA candidate Neeraj Sinha would secure a historic win in the Bankipur Assembly bye-election on Monday.

Speaking to IANS, Ranjan stated, "The BJP-led NDA candidate Neeraj Sinha is certain to win by a historic margin. Whether it is Prashant Kishor or any other candidate contesting the election, all political campaigning and rhetoric are now over. They should wait for the results. We believe that whenever people vote on the basis of development, the NDA benefits from it."

He praised Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar, for his initiatives and efforts to develop Bankipur area. He added that the development is an integral part of the state capital, and mentioned the development works of the NDA government in the constituency.

He added, "The way Bankipur has developed under the leadership of Nitish Kumar has made it an important part of Patna. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has also contributed significantly to its growth. There should be no doubt that people are witnessing development and will vote accordingly."

In the meantime, Prashant Kishor, the founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, had taken a lead of 1,145 votes in the early voting in the Bihar bypoll from Neeraj Kumar of the BJP. Kumar got 5124 votes and Kishor got 6269. The RJD candidate, Rekha Kumari, got 884 votes.

Meanwhile, since starting no BJP candidate has ever lost from Bankipur and has counted it as the party's stronghold. However, a hitch in the BJP camp and the long-awaited arrival of Prashant Kishor in the electoral arena will make this election noteworthy.
