Jio Rolls Out New 3-in-1 Home Packs Offering Wi-Fi, TV and OTT Starting Rs 400
Jio's new 3-in-1 Home Packs bundle broadband, live TV, and OTT platforms into single plans starting at Rs 400, catering to different household needs.
Reliance Jio has released a fresh Home Pack in India, letting customers bundle broadband, live television and OTT platforms into a single subscription. Starting at Rs 400 per month, the new packs are built for households that want just TV, just Wi-Fi, or a combined package covering all three.
The lineup is split into three categories: TV-only, Wi-Fi-only, and 3-in-1 bundles that mix internet, live TV, and OTT access. Jio is sweetening the deal further with free doorstep installation and maintenance support for eligible new customers.
Breaking down the Jio Home Packs
The cheapest is the TV-only pack, which costs Rs 400 per month. Subscribers get access to more than 1,000 live TV channels, including over 200 in HD, along with content spanning over 15 regional languages. The plan also throws in more than 12 OTT apps, plus handy features like YouTube on TV and the ability to Play/Pause live television.
For those who mainly need internet access, Jio has two Wi-Fi-only options on offer. A 30Mbps connection is available at Rs 2,200 for five months, which is around Rs 450 a month. There's also a faster 100Mbps plan at Rs 3,000 for five months, bringing the effective monthly cost to Rs 600.
Jio is also offering a two-month alternative: a 30Mbps pack that comes in at Rs 1,100, while the 100Mbps version costs Rs 1,500 for the same five-month period.
The real highlight, though, is the 3-in-1 category, which bundles Wi-Fi, live TV and OTT services into one single plan. The 30Mbps version costs Rs 2,222 for four months, converting to an effective monthly cost of Rs 555. It comes with more than 1,000 live TV channels and access to 12 OTT apps.
For faster internet needs, the 100Mbps 3-in-1 pack costs Rs 2,122 for three months, translating to Rs 707 monthly. This too includes the same benefits - 1,000-plus live TV channels and 12 OTT apps. Basically, these bundled offerings are meant for households looking to avoid juggling various subscriptions for broadband, television and entertainment platforms separately.
Installation and added perks
To make the transition smoother, Jio is offering free doorstep installation along with maintenance support for eligible new customers signing up for these plans.
The idea behind the varied lineup is to cater to different kinds of users. Someone who only wants live TV can go for the Rs 400 TV-only pack, while those focused purely on internet connectivity can pick from the Wi-Fi-only options. Meanwhile, users who prefer having everything - internet, television and OTT - under one plan can opt for the 3-in-1 packs.
