Asifabad Collector stresses quality education, nutritious meals for girls
Kumuram Bheem Asifabad: District Collector K. Haritha on Sunday stressed the need for coordinated efforts to provide girl students in government institutions with quality education, nutritious food and better basic amenities.
During a surprise visit to the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) at Jainoor mandal headquarters, she inspected classrooms, accommodation, cleanliness, drinking water facilities, kitchen and meals.
She directed officials to strictly follow the government-prescribed menu and use quality ingredients while maintaining hygiene. The Collector interacted with students about their education, food and living conditions and encouraged them to pursue their interests with confidence, discipline and determination.
She urged teachers to adopt student-specific academic plans and organise activities to develop creativity, leadership and communication skills. The Collector later shared a meal with the students and checked the quality and taste of the food.
