Jayashankar Bhupalpally: BRS leaders on Tuesday strongly condemned remarks made by Congress leaders against former Bhupalpalli MLA GandraVenkataRamana Reddy, warning of protests if they continue what they termed as false allegations. Addressing a press conference at the BRS district office in Bhupalpalli, town president KatakamJanardhan, along with SeggamSiddu and Gandra Harish Reddy, defended the senior leader and accused Congress of diverting attention from public issues.
They said Gandra, who has served as an MLC, two-time MLA and Government Chief Whip, has consistently worked for the development of the Bhupalpally constituency and has spent the past two years touring villages to understand people’s grievances.
According to the leaders, his recent visits to Kasturba and minority schools as well as the District Government General Hospital were aimed at exposing issues related to infrastructure, sanitation, medical services and student safety. They maintained that public concerns should take precedence over political mudslinging.
