Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar presented the first 'Bonam' in the morning offering to the Goddess on behalf of the Telangana government.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Sunday visited Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad on the occasion of bonalu and offered silk robes to the Goddess and performed special prayers. Ministers comprising Konda Surekha, Seethakka, Ponnam Prabhakar, and other MLAs and MLCs, participated in the event.

The vicinity of the Secunderabad temple was abuzz with activity as devotees arrived to offer 'Bonams'. Due to the heavy influx of devotees, temple authorities arranged three queue lines for general visitors and two separate lines for those offering 'Bonams'.

Officials estimate that hundreds of thousands of devotees are likely to visit. In light of this, extensive police security has been deployed, and CCTV cameras have been installed at various locations. Special water kiosks have been set up to ensure the convenience of visiting devotees, and health camps along with ambulances have been arranged under the supervision of the Medical and Health Department.
