Heavy Rains Lash Hyderabad, Several Districts In Telangana

Heavy Rains in Hyderabad: East and South Hyderabad were the most affected recording the highest amount of rainfall, of which GHMC limits saw the maximum.

The weather in Telangana State saw a heavy rains lashed Hyderabad and several districts leaving the streets waterlogged. Motorists found it difficult to navigate through several water logged areas as HYDRA and GHMC teams were already busy with the task of removing water from several places. East and South Hyderabad were the most affected recording the highest amount of rainfall, of which GHMC limits saw the maximum.

The rainfall recorded in various places in Hyderabad is as follows with Saroornagar 11.3 cms, LB Nagar GHMC office: 9.6 cms, Bandlaguda: 8.3 cms Barkas ESS/ Chandrayangutta: 8.4 cms, Rocktown colony and Vanasthalipuram NGO Colony: 8.0 cms each, Alakapuri colony 10.9 cms Ibrahimpatnam: 7.1 cms, Kapra GHMC Office: 7.0 cms, Mailardevpally: 6.7 cms, Peerzadiguda: 5.7 cms, and Gachibowli: 5.7 cms, South Hastinapuram: 8.1 cms,

The rainfall witnessed in the district was Nagireddypet mandal in cms, Medak town: 4.4 cms, Papannapet: 6 cms, Kowdipally: 4.8 cms in Medak district, Chityal: 4.1 cms Kamareddy: 6.9 Bhupalpally: 3.5 cms in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, Gandeed: 3.7 cms and Hanwada: 3 cms in Mahabubnagar, Boinpally: 3.3 cms, Wanaparthy: 2.6 cms, and Mulugu: 2.6 cms in Rajanna Sircilla district.

The weather department has also issued a warning regarding isolated few rain accompanied by thundershower activity in Telangana for the next two days as the Bay of Bengal witnessed weather changes. People residing in low-lying areas and motorists are requested to take care.
