He emphasised the importance of the centuries-old Ashadha Bonalu festival in the Hyderabad City and opined that the celebrations are happening in a peaceful environment.
“I am happy that the Bonalu celebrations in Golconda and Balkampet have ended successfully. The Ujjaini Mahankali and Lal Darwaza deities’ celebrations are in full swing. Hyderabad City Police have made extensive preparations with a strong emphasis on the security of pilgrims. About 2500 personnel will be on duty to provide security to the devotees. Modern surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras with AI-enabled technology have been installed in the temple complex to monitor the festival’s proceedings. I urge the devotees to visit the temple and seek the Goddess’s blessings. In addition, the pilgrims should cooperate fully with the police to ensure the event’s safety and security,” he said.
