Revanth Warns Against Ignoring the Impact of SIR

On Wednesday, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy warned Congress leaders against treating the special intensive revision of the electoral roll casually. Revanth Reddy warned that the party would not bear neglect in a crucial exercise, such as SIR controversy, to defend the voting rights of real electors. He directed ministers, MLAs, MPs and constituency in-charges to be additional vigilant during the SIR process, which begins on Thursday, across Telangana.

Addressing a Zoom conference taken part by TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud and AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy shown up a serious concern over reports that some party leaders were not treating the SIR exercise with due significance in their constituencies.

He said he had previously received district-wise reports on SIR's impact on Telangana and warned that the Congress would not stay a silent viewer if such negligence caused damage to the party.

As per Revanth Reddy latest news, he is also known to the Congress sarpanches to conduct wide awareness campaigns in villages and teach people about the significance of the voter verification process. He said the party had complete information about contribution levels in district-wise awareness meetings. It is cautious leaders against creating a state where penal action would become required.

Revanth Reddy SIR impact cautioned that any slip in the voter list revision process could result in poor people and weaker sections losing the right to vote. The Chief Minister said safeguarding every entitled vote must be the party’s prime objective and stressed that negligence in the exercise would amount to unfairness to weak sections of society.

The Chief Minister warned leaders to improve their performance within the next 10 days or face action. He said the party was intimately monitoring the act of MLAs. It would appoint a new in-charge in constituencies where MLAs failed to work efficiently.
