Station Ghanpur gets Rs 60 crore boost, MLA orders fast-track civic works

Karimnagar: Station Ghanpur MLA and former Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari has directed officials to ensure visible improvements in the municipality by April next year after Rs 60 crore was sanctioned for civic development works. Chairing a review meeting at the Integrated Collectorate in Jangaon along with District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha, he instructed officials to complete Phase-I works by August 31 and the six Phase-II works by October 10 while maintaining quality standards.Srihari directed officials to immediately begin execution of all tendered works, including CC roads, drainage systems, Vaikuntha Dhamam, dumping yard, stadium, open gym, vegetable and non-vegetable markets and a slaughterhouse. He also asked officials to prepare proposals for junction development, expand urban greenery in coordination with the Horticulture Department, strengthen waste segregation, distribute dustbins to households and improve municipal revenues through better property tax collection.

Emphasising transparency in the Indiramma Housing Scheme, Srihari said eligible poor families should be selected strictly according to government guidelines without any political bias.

Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha instructed officials to prepare a special greening plan along the highway and expedite the construction of sanctioned houses within the stipulated timeframe.
