Randeep Hooda extends support to Assam flood victims, distributes relief supplies in Sivasagar

Actor Randeep Hooda joined hands with Global Sikhs to distribute essential supplies, serve food, and offer prayers for families affected by the devastating Assam floods.

Mumbai: The actor distributed rations and other essential supplies to the flood-affected population of Sivasagar in association with Global Sikhs on Saturday. The floods in Assam have so far claimed 82 lives. Reports suggest that millions of people have been displaced and various government teams and NGOs are working to help people.

Randeep Hooda as per reports distributed essential items to displaced people at the railway station in Sivasagar. The actor also visited the Gurudwara Sahib in Sivasagar. He prayed for the well-being of the flood affected people. The actor also served the food in the langar to the affected people and devotees.

The actor said that many families have come to Sivasagar railway station. He said that volunteers have been making food for them for the last seven days. He said humanity is above everything else and he has been working with the same team Global Sikhs. He urged everybody to contribute in whichever way they can to help people. He reiterated that as human beings, it is our duty to help our fellow human beings.

Earlier on Friday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed gratitude to industrialist Gautam Adani for contributing Rs 11 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to support relief and rehabilitation efforts for people affected by floods in the state.
