Suriya confirms ‘Suriya 47’ for 2026 release, eyes on a hat-trick

Actor Suriya is all set to make 2026 a memorable year for him as he will be releasing three films. Suriya had already released his 46th film Karuppu which became a blockbuster and now the actor has confirmed that his upcoming film which is his 47th film will also release this year before the end of the year.

In a conversation, Suriya announced that the shooting for his untitled upcoming project has been wrapped up. His 2D Entertainment banner produced film is currently in the post-production process and the makers will be revealing the title and release date very shortly.

Prior to the release of Suriya 47, Suriya will be seen in Vishwanath & Sons directed by Venky Atluri. The film stars Mamitha Baiju as the female lead and is set to release on 14th August 2026. Suriya’s film has already created a great amount of hype and is one of the most anticipated projects of this year.

With a stellar success of his film Karuppu, Suriya has gained great momentum in his career. The actor has been on a great roll after his film became one of the highest-grossing films of this year. With Suriya’s Vishwanath & Sons running with good expectations and Jithu Madhavan’s film set to release by the end of 2026, the actor has a great chance to finish with a hat-trick.
