Amaravati essential for AP’s Future

Discover the perspective behind the Amaravati capital project. From its central location between Guntur and Vijayawada to its long-term vision for economic growth and employment, explore why this hub is vital for Andhra Pradesh's progress.

I believe that no state can truly progress without having a capital city of its own. After the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, establishing a permanent capital became an absolute necessity for the state’s administration and overall development.

In my opinion, opposing the establishment of Amaravati as the capital is meaningless. Amaravati is not located in a remote area such as Donakonda or the Nallamala forest. It is strategically situated between the neighbouring districts of Guntur and Vijayawada and serves as a central location that is accessible to all regions of Andhra Pradesh.

If the government’s objective is to build Amaravati as a world-class capital with modern infrastructure, the initiative will help attract investments, generate substantial revenue, create employment opportunities, and promote the overall development of the state. Therefore, I believe the land pooling exercise was undertaken with a long-term vision for Andhra Pradesh’s growth.
