Police Commissioner reviews security for Nizamabad village festival

Nizamabad: Nizamabad Police Commissioner P. Sai Chaitanya on Sunday personally inspected the security and traffic arrangements for the village festival being held in Nizamabad city to ensure its smooth and peaceful conduct. The Commissioner visited key festival venues, procession routes, busy junctions, traffic diversion points and designated parking areas.
He instructed police officers to ensure uninterrupted movement of devotees, maintain strict vigil in sensitive locations and effectively regulate traffic to prevent congestion. He emphasised the need to prioritise the safety of women, children and senior citizens and directed police teams to remain prepared for emergencies while ensuring unhindered movement of ambulances and other emergency services.
He also ordered continuous surveillance through CCTV and drone cameras and instructed pickets, mobile patrol teams, She Teams and traffic police to work in close coordination. The Commissioner appealed to the public to cooperate with police, follow traffic diversions and immediately report any emergency or suspicious activity to ensure the festival concludes safely.
