YSRCP demands Lokesh’s resignation, CBI probe into Mega DSC row

NELLORE: Leaders addressing a massive protest rally organized by the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in Gudur on Monday declared that they will continue their agitation until Education Minister Nara Lokesh steps down from his post over alleged irregularities in the Mega DSC recruitment exam.

The party demanded a high-level inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to render justice to affected job aspirants.

High tension prevailed at the outskirts of Gudur town for a while as police personnel attempted to block key YSRCP leaders from entering the town to take part in the scheduled demonstration.

However, leaders eventually pushed past restrictions and joined the rally. YSRCP leaders strongly condemned the police action, terming it undemocratic and contrary to constitutional rights.

Addressing the gathering, MLC Parvathareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy alleged that administrative irregularities, corruption, and misuse of power have spiked significantly under the NDA coalition government.

He pointed out that despite YSRCP submitting clear documentary evidence regarding irregularities in the Mega DSC process, the state administration has ignored the issue rather than addressing grievances or establishing transparency.

Speaking on the occasion, YSRCP District President and former minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy asserted that there is no question of withdrawing the agitation until Education Minister Nara Lokesh resigns, owning moral responsibility for the execution of the recruitment process.

He reaffirmed that YSRCP will intensify its statewide protests to safeguard the interests of unemployed youth until a fair CBI probe is ordered.
