Chocolate Lure Used in Attempted Assault on Four-Year-Old in Warangal

A four-year-old girl was saved from an attempted sexual assault in a Warangal village after locals intervened. Police have registered a POCSO case and launched a manhunt for the accused.
WARANGAL: An incident involving an attempted sexual assault on a four-year-old girl has caused concern in a village in Warangal district.
According to police, a man from the same village allegedly lured the child by offering her chocolate and took her to a secluded area, where he attempted to assault her. The attempt was foiled after locals, alerted by the child’s cries, rushed to the spot. The accused fled the scene upon seeing them.
Following a complaint lodged by the girl’s family, police registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and launched an investigation.
The child was shifted to a city hospital for medical examination, police said.
