BRS faces fresh jolt as 50 youth, Mudiraj leaders shift loyalties to Congress

Hanumakonda: Around 50 youth, members of the Mudiraj community and former BRS activists from Kondapur village in Chilpur mandal of Station Ghanpur constituency joined the Congress party on Sunday, dealing another setback to the opposition in the region.

The induction programme was held at the Hanumakonda residence of former Deputy Chief Minister and Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari, who welcomed the new members by draping them with Congress party scarves. Among those who joined were Jakkula Veeraiah, Chokkam Sampath, Chokkam Ramesh, Raju, Nagaraju, Ajay, Linganaboini Ramesh, Ittaboini Rajasekhar, Rayagiri Satyam, Pedda Veeraiah, Mote Rahul and Ranjith, along with several others.

Addressing the gathering, Kadiyam Srihari said the steady influx of leaders and youth into the Congress reflected growing public confidence in the party. He attributed the trend to the Congress government’s welfare initiatives, stating that its schemes were directly benefiting poor and disadvantaged families across Telangana.

The event was attended by Chilpur Temple Committee Chairman Potlapalli Sridhar Rao, mandal Congress president Chirra Nagaraju, former MPP Balaraju, Kondapur deputy sarpanch Naresh, village sarpanches, local leaders and party workers.
