Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu has directed officials to ensure that internet services for all government offices in Telangana are provided exclusively through T-Fiber starting September 1. The Minister held a high-level review meeting at the State Secretariat regarding the expansion of T-Fiber services. He emphasized the need to establish T-Fiber connectivity for every government office in the state within the stipulated timeframe. He further ordered that, after September 1, no government department should utilize private internet services or pay bills for them.
Minister Sridhar Babu stated that this decision was taken with the aim of saving government funds and establishing a unified digital network. He set a clear deadline for officials to completely migrate the T-SWAN network—currently used by government departments—to T-Fiber within the coming month and instructed them to ensure the process proceeds without any delay. Additionally, he directed officials to prepare plans to provide state-of-the-art T-Fiber connectivity to the upcoming 'Future City,' keeping future requirements in mind.
The Minister also advised accelerating the government's prestigious 'Internet to Every Household' initiative to ensure quality broadband services reach rural areas. He urged officials to meet their targets within the deadline and transform Telangana into the state with the best digital connectivity in the country, emphasizing the need for coordinated effort among all officials.
